The Boston pilgrims departed Logan airport after a wonderful prayer service with their friends and family at the Airport Chapel. For the early flight, sleep came easy on the trip to Dulles!

The pilgrims sat together and passed the time with reading, praying, eating, and even tossing around a frisbee and football while other pilgrims from around the USA excitedly gathered for the trip across the sea.

After landing, it was busses to the hotels.

The day started off rainy but as the pilgrims neared Koln it beacme clearer and clearer.

Our hearts grew excited as we got nearer and nearer to our destination.

The whole city was just as prepared and excited for us! This is the star form the WYD 2005 logo on a building across the river.

As you can see, the pilgrims truly were happy and would not let anything deter them form their call here, not even long layovers and multiple modes of transportation!
Our motto: "This is a pilgrimage, not a vacation. We never complain, and we always have fun!"

The ciy is still setting up each and every Church and platz for festivals and events. This one is hosted by FIFA as the next World Cup in 2006 is also in Germany!
