I got up early enough to finally photograph St. Joseph parish, Medway! |
I made sure to take two before they sped off for another great day... |
...or maybe I wasn't quicker but they were a little slower in gettine up and out! |

There were lines already forming for the key part of our pilgrimage to the Cathedral. |
We didn't complain as we were lucky to be here to see and meet Catholics from all over the world! |
It looks like ther were less of us but in reality it is early and people were already organized into lines. |
World Youth Day is so beautiful because of the faith of the young of the universal Church. It really is too hard to put such an experience into words. |

It is amazing how you meet both strangers and friends. Here are our pilgrims from St. John parish in Wellesley |

Our pilgrims travel to the Conti Hotel to meet with Archbishop Sean O'Malley. |

Archbishop Sean and Fr. Tom greeted each one of the pilgrims on their way in. |
He was just as happy as we were to be able to spend the time together! |
We prayed together and then began to share our stories from the pilgrimage so far. |
The major highlights and themes began to show themselves once more. |
The Archbishop listened as we talked of seeing and feeling so much of a true Catholic faith here that we would bring back to our families and friends, parishes and schools, State and Archdiocese. |
He encouraged us on the importance of "pilgrimage" in our lives. |
We also shared our highlights of celebrating the Sacraments in the beauty of being the Universal Church and trading mementos and cheers with people from all over the world who follow Christ and love the Church. |
Fr. Tom (the Director of the Office for Youth Ministry "OYM" for the Archdiocese of Boston and Chairman of the Board for the NFCYM) thanked Archbishop Sean and us. |
